Kangoo Jumps are not a new untried, unstudied fitness fad. Spring boots were devloped in the 1920's in eastern Europe as a recreation device for leg injuries. Denis Naville, a Swiss engineer reworked the concept and introduced them in 1994. The first model, KJ-1 was presented at the SISEL Sports Show in Paris shortly thereafter. Since that time, they have been continually updated and improved. There have been exhaustive studies in the US and EU on safety and efficacy - they are available upon request.
